Ben Ford is the creator of the Home Made Energy product that shows you how to massively reduce your energy bills, to the extent that you enrgy company could even end up paying you a small amount each month.

Ben comes from California and was an electrician by trade. Over the years he had become resigned to paying the ever increasing bills presented each month by his energy company. Even though his training as an electrician told him he could generate his own energy using the power of the sun and the wind, he never managed to get a round to it. However that was all to change when he got a visit from his energy company. Their technician showed up and said he had come to fit a new meter so that they could be sure he wasn’t paying too much for his electricity. Without thinking too much about it he let the technician complete the job he had come for.

A month or so later when his energy bill turned up, he remembered the technician and thought, ‘hey this should be good, my bill will be lower this month’. However when he opened the bill he got a nasty shock, his bill had gone up by over a hundred dollars.

This was the kick in the pants Ben needed to fight back. He took his electrical knowledge and set about designing a power system for his home so that he would not be prey to the greed of the energy companies anymore. Using simple electrical techniques he was able to bypass the expensive solar panels and wind turbines in the stores and design his own for a fraction of the cost in parts. A day or so in his workshop later he had the first part of his energy system up and running and reducing his monthly energy bill straightaway.

In time once he had perfected things, his energy bill had not just reduced, they we actually paying him. Only a few bucks, but Ben says, money never smelt so sweet.

Friends and family became interested in what Ben Ford had done, and asked him to explain it to them. So he wrote down step by step instructions and tested them on a friend, who had zero technical skills. When this friend was able to replicate what Ben had done with his energy bills, everyone knew he was onto something. Be began working in earnest of explaining his systems so that more people could benefit.
